Samsung Galaxy S4 leaked image showing buttonless design

A leaked image alleged to be of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S4 smartphone was published by SamMobile. The image shows only minor cosmetic differences to the Galaxy S3. SamMobile.com, that posted the picture, claimed it originated from an insider at Samsung, but could not confirm the specifications of the device or any further details.

If authentic, the image indicates the phone could have a larger screen and do away with its traditional home and navigational buttons for on-screen keys. The bezel around the device is thinner, giving the upcoming Galaxy S4 smartphone a near edge-to-edge display.

The Galaxy S4 is rumored to feature:

– Exynos 5450 Quad-Core CPU clocked at 2.0GHz

– Mali-T658 GPU

– 2GB of RAM

It should be noted, however, that SamMobile could not 100% confirm that the image is authentic. Considering the amount of caution Samsung went to protect the design and features of the Galaxy S3, it’s possible that the above image is an early prototype. Samsung made several variations and employees led a “double life” to protect to final Galaxy S3 product. Everything with unfold itself over the next few months. The most recent rumors suggest the Galaxy S4 will be released in May 2013.
